Coffee Bar and Grab & Go Stations

As part of NFU Mutual’s 3 Phased fit out, this second phase focused on creating an additional breakout space within the building.

A new coffee bar and self-service station were installed to help alleviate pressure on the main food servery, and form a more relaxed space with an additional casual seating area.

The overall design aesthetic was inspired by a farmhouse/farm shop style to help tie back to the client’s roots of the National Farmers’ Union Mutual Insurance. This look and feel is enhanced with shaker style frontages, tongue and groove panelling, timber grids, and a natural colour palette.

The coffee bar features chilled and ambient grab & go, panini station and hot drinks. The angled counter helps to draw the customer in and through the space with feature Amtico flooring providing additional wayfinding.

The self-service station will help provide an additional food offer out of hours, and also features a bank of microwaves for staff within the building. Again, the country style aesthetic is carried through with shaker doors, high quality solid surface work tops and timber effect finishes.

The two zones are similar, but not identical, to help enhance the idea of a rustic farm shop, and will help tie them in perfectly with Phase 3.
