The existing layout and customer journey were analysed, to understand how the original space was underperforming. The redesign included ‘destination dining’ stations, which allowed for flexibility within the food offer; keeping the menu exciting, and queuing to a minimum. This was enhanced with additional till stations, and self-service counters.
Keeping a smooth and clear flow were important, with easing congestion being of vital importance.
All new dining furniture was designed, supplied and installed by the d3 team, creating separate meeting/dining and social spaces. The new furniture helps to add to the simple Scandinavian design aesthetic, with a palette of white, grey, light plywood and copper helping to add to the pared back, chic look.
Full redecoration, flooring and new lighting help to create a much more inviting space, with bespoke bar height booths taking centre stage within the seating area. A bespoke full height, mural and letter lighting add character, and allow the new restaurant to have personality, adding to the inviting and comfortable environment and helping to ground the new restaurant with its lake side setting.
This project was installed in 12 weeks from start to finish. D3 allowed 40% of the seating area to be left open during our install, for customers and catering staff to continue with a limited foodservice.
